This week we continued our Fight Club series. We've added the "fight club" theme to the instrumental music right before the service begins. The first week we played "Eye of the Tiger" which is sure to get anyone's blood pumping. This week, we went with a Husker Blackshirts tradition and played Back in Black. There were a few heads bobbing!

August 16

We kicked off our new series, Fight Club, with some rock anthems! Ok, In Christ Alone isn't necessarily a "rock" anthem, but it always feels like it when we get to the sweet words of verse 3 and 4 - "As he stands in victory, sin's curse has lost it's grip on me." Those words should rise emotion in us like a fourth quarter game winning touchdown pass! We will be camping in 2 Timothy for the remaining five weeks of this series, and you can probably expect a few more anthems to come - and another fight song or two along the way.

August 9

This week we scaled back the band to just electric guitar and keyboard. It was fun playing a simpler set with Bart, and it's always great to hear the voice of the church praising our God together.
